Good food. Less footprint.
We believe a food delivery platform should leave the city better than it found it. Here is what we are doing — and where we want to go.

Food waste reduction for AI-enabled merchants
Our commitments
Sustainability is a journey, not a checkbox. These are the areas we focus on today.
Local sourcing first
We actively partner with local farmers and co-operatives. When you order from a Doodle merchant, much of the produce has travelled fewer than 50 kilometres from farm to kitchen.
Reducing food waste
Our AI demand forecast helps merchants prepare the right amount of food at the right time. Less overproduction means less waste going to landfill.
Low-emission delivery
About 60 percent of our deliveries are made by bicycle or on foot. For longer routes, we optimise motorcycle routes to reduce fuel consumption and idle time.
Packaging guidelines
We work with merchant partners to reduce single-use plastic. Merchants who switch to compostable or reusable packaging earn a green badge visible to customers.
What comes next
We are working on bigger targets for 2027 and beyond.
- Carbon offset programme — neutralise emissions from motorised deliveries.
- Electric motorcycle pilot in select Kenyan towns for partner riders.
- Surplus food marketplace connecting restaurants with leftover meals to customers at a discount.
- Annual sustainability report published openly for accountability.
